literally allows the state to reap a profit from its own negligence and misconduct. Allowing it to pass tomorrow morning out of 's committee would be shameful.

By some measures, nearly half of all rapes in America are prison rapes. But it’s still socially acceptable to make jokes about sexual violence against prisoners. Because, broadly speaking, the culture does not yet see prisoners as people.

I hope that both sides of the aisle realize that criminal justice reform is not the third rail of politics anymore. It should be in both parties' platforms from here forward.

Can’t quite believe we’re at a point where Trump highlighted criminal justice reform and clemency in his ad in the Super Bowl. Not sure what to say other than this shows criminal justice reform can be a winning issue for anyone.

🚨The Department of Corrections has not confirmed yet but today's Daily Count shows 25 women living at the "Papago" unit at Douglas - this is the first proof I've seen of the women being moved to the men's prison due to the overcrowding at Perryville

you have some 4000 +- Arizona citizens trapped in a facility where the water is contaminated and likely carcinogenic. This is a major event. What are doing to mobilize state resources to ensure our citizens are not being harmed?

🚨CALL TO ACTION🚨 Douglas residents AGAIN have unsafe drinking water. Water tastes and smells like diesel; men are complaining of sore throats & gaseous breath after drinking the water. CALL: (520)364-7521 to demand bottled water be distributed.

Arizona is one of the few states that doesn’t fund sexual assault survivor services. With a $700 million surplus this year, its time to change that.

We need to close prisons, release people & actually implement healing spaces to prevent crime/harm. We need industries in rural communities that don't require the caging of people, destruction of the environment or excessive use of water. We need to stop prison economies. 4/4
