How many of you have a loved one that struggles with a substance use disorder? Our President decided to attack Biden on his son's substance use disorder. That was the lowest of the low. Biden's response is the moment for me that will stand out beyond the rest. #EndTheStigma

“I’m proud of my son. He overcame his drug problem” out of all of it, that was real.
Why do we at focus relentlessly on building our bench? Why do we insist there is not each as an "off year" election? And why do we insist that our bench must reflect the diversity of our party, and our communities? Lithopolis, that's why. Read this great story.

Maybe every working journalist should go out and interview postal workers in their community to figure out what's going on right now. Here's a conversation I just had with a postal service worker a few minutes ago in Columbus, Ohio:

How an elected official, let alone a DOCTOR, could be so ignorant of the health disparities that affect African-Americans is repugnant. This is not about hand washing. It's about the racism rooted in our economic and health systems keeping Black communities down.

Insane: A GOP Ohio state senator is under fire this week after asking if “African Americans or the colored population” have been disproportionately affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic because they “do not wash their hands as well as other groups.” washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/06

Mr. President, let’s set politics aside. My husband earned all his accolades after a lifetime of service. I’m preparing for the first holiday season without the man I love. You brought me down in a way you can never imagine and your hurtful words just made my healing much harder.
