Tbh when someone then answers „oh that’s good for you!“ I’m like „Nono, and now you give an anecdote back!! It’s not supposed to be about me

Tbh I think it’s just a way of speaking, and I like this in other people. I’m still gonna cry feeling egoistic tho

Me: I can’t do the „normal“““ way of talking and I don’t even like it Also me: man my way of talking is so annoying why can’t I be normal Ah yes, caught myself in a trap of „whatever I do can’t be good“

no i like that, that makes me feel like they heard me, can relate, and are a good person to have shared that with. i get absolutely nothing out of "i'm sorry that happened to you". like, yes, duh, the bad thing that happened to me was bad! thanks for telling me? glad you agree?

I kind of feel bad, cause I have a tendency to derail the conversation with something tangentially related but that ultimately nobody cares about. I'm like "Oh that's so cool, it reminds me of *infodumps*"
