The Dolphins are 1-5. They just lost to a winless team. There are no viable excuses. This team is a long way from being good. The second-guessing will now only increase and how could it not?

This Dolphins team has major issues on both sides of the ball. But the defense was supposed to be the strength of this team and what we've seen so far is unacceptable.

I like a lot of things about DeVante Parker when he's on the field. But these injuries have become the storyline of his career.

One of my favorite quotes at the Shula Celebration of Life came from Larry Csonka: “I’d rather face (Ray) Nitschke and (Dick) Butkus in their prime than have to stand here and talk in the past tense about Don Shula,”

Was fortunate to attend the Celebration of Life Saturday for Don Shula. Great event. Wonderful stories. Classic videos. All these months later, it's still hard to believe that he's gone.

Now, if they can build on what they did late, and play with that kind of urgency on offense, they could get this turned around.

I'd also like to see Waddle called upon to run deeper patterns. He needs space. These quick outs don't give him that space.

The defense continues to force turnovers, but the rushing defense and the pass rush just haven't gotten it done.

On offense, there's just no flow. Nothing seem sharp. The offensive line is clearly the biggest disappointment, but I expected more help from the running backs.

The fact that the Dolphins showed plenty of heart by making it close can't conceal the issues that need to be addressed on both sides of the ball. This is troublesome so early in the season.

Dolphins' defense will have to force at least three turnovers to win today against Raiders. My gut tells me they can.

How can you truly judge Tua when he doesn't have time to set up and throw?

A very disappointing performance by Dolphins on so many fronts, but nothing came close to the play of the offensive line. This was unacceptable, even against a defense as talented as the Bills.

Myles Gaskin needs to have a big game today.....keep the Bills' offense off the field....and Dolphins can win a close one. But they need to own time of possession.

Waddle was as good as advertised, but I'd like to see him touch the ball more than he did against the Patriots.

Tua was solid, but he wasn't the story. It was the defense making the plays when it had to. The late forced fumble by Xavien Howard was special.

You beat New England, even by a point at their place, and it's a great day. Guess who's alone in first place in the AFC East? Yes, it's way too early to matter. But it's nice anyway isn't it?

I expect the Dolphins to win today (about 24-17) and I expect Tua to play very well. There, I said it.

Anybody who doesn't think Brian Flores will unload his defensive playbook on a rookie QB starting his first game, well, doesn't know Brian Flores.
