    Growing renewables will hugely decrease demand for gas in the power sector in the coming years. But we are failing on energy efficiency, which would greatly reduce gas needed for household heating.

    It's and we've been checking out our Botany shelves to celebrate the world of the carrot and Daucus Carota (or Wild Carrot) in particular. Kept our eyes peeled but didn't have time to browse the Food shelves for carrot recipes - which grates a little.

    Today a whole load of Kremlin trolls (backed up by useful idiots) on here, spreading disinformation about the independence of the OPCW. They are preparing the ground for Putin to reject OPCW findings on the incident.

    Strikes me that alongside everything else, changing gender earnings gap will need men being able/encouraged to take more time to look after children, and crucially our society shifting its attitude to men who do so and women who dont. Men still very much ranked by earnings/power.

    If we are honest, politics in Britain is in desperate need of philosophical renewal. Sad to see some self-proclaimed “centrists” instead reaching for the conspiracy theories so beloved of populists, or hoping for new Messiahs instead of developing new ideas.

    Crucial question. Why should be privileged when the assumptions underlying policy (dating from 2007) e.g. need for baseload, now overturned?

    Will the same financing terms EDF is seeking also apply to other forms of generation? Eg gas or wind or solar
