    For residents who like to take a walk around the neighborhood in the early evening hours, please remember to wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight, and keep to the sidewalks. With the sun setting earlier these days, it is harder to see pedestrians and bike riders. Be safe!

  10. Alameda County as a whole has 119 total murders with 3 months left in the year. Most of the victims are young men from underserved minority communities. Gun violence and violent crime increases during the pandemic are extremely concerning.

    The Court has issued a Press Release announcing Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland to be open for in-person voting starting October 5, 2020; voting drop boxes to be available at courthouses in Oakland and Hayward. Details here:
