But does it in any SCOTUS interpretation? I am not familiar. As long as we are peaceably assembling, we are within our rights. States are making laws that infringe on these rights.

Something or cops don’t seem to know. Police provide a vital public safety service. But a lot of them seem to be fascist. They need to be reformed (not “defunded”). Their unions need to be brought to heel.

They can be reformed through defunding. I don't care that people don't like that word. It's what is necessary to begin actual reform.

Hopefully your parent organization is paying attention to all the laws that states are trying to enact to narrow the right to protest, in conjunction with the police overstepping their bounds by declaring an entire assembly as not orderly because one person is on the street.

Then, on top of that, the state has passed the laws so that once the cops do that, they have many things that can be quite benign that they can arrest you for, & if found guilty, they have made the penalties, at least in some states, into felonies instead of misdemeanors.
