My father defended David Rice. He saw the wounds on Peak’s face from being beaten after he resumed his testimony. Questioned him. This is a travesty and injustice that needs restitution. It is a stain on the history of Omaha. It’s shameful & unjust. Poindexter should be released.

And beyond the fact that two innocent men were jailed, we need decarceration of older prisoners like Ed Poindexter. COVID-19 is deadly in jails. We need decarceration of vulnerable populations, people with little time left on their sentences, and of the older citizens in jails.
