In a time when so many are calling for an end to police brutality and racial injustice, the sheriff is digging in his heels to defend action that was clearly out of bounds.
As if there was not already a massive body of evidence, Sheriff Wagner’s comments and lack of leadership here should serve as exhibit A when county leaders discuss law enforcement reforms and budget.
