As if there was not already a massive body of evidence, Sheriff Wagner’s comments and lack of leadership here should serve as exhibit A when county leaders discuss law enforcement reforms and budget.

Commission Chairman Flowerday is absolutely right that the sheriff's statement is "disappointingly out of touch and irresponsible." He's right that we deserve better.
