Trade missions are important - but If we want to #KeepNebraskaStrong, economic development has to also include strategies to recruit and retain a diverse workforce. That means an equal pay agenda and workforce protections for the thousands of Nebraskans who are LGBTQ.

Gov. Ricketts lists four priorities: 1. Property tax relief 2. Flood relief 3. Military tax relief 4. Workforce and business expansion Scholarships can help keep the next generation in Nebraska, but so can inclusive and progressive policy choices.

We're grateful the Governor touched on the dire need to address our understaffed Corrections facilities. We continue racing toward a legally mandated overcrowding emergency declaration on July 1. It's going to take real reform to solve this challenge and #KeepNebraskaStrong.
