      We urge the senate not to adopt any amendments on this bill. ❌Currently, amendment 74 was just rejected which would have added unnecessary qualifiers to the “standard of care”.

      ❌Amdmt #60 rejected. This would have allowed providers to be fired, demoted or disciplined for providing medically necessary care consistent with standard of care practices. This fails to sufficiently protect providers or pregnant patients.

          SSB 5140 is NECESSARY because hospitals across our state are delaying and denying critical access to care for pregnant patients, simply based on a hospital's policies.
