    A report released in March by , and ACLU of Maine found systemic problems at the Boston Asylum Office that violate asylum seekers’ due process rights. Now, the Biden administration is considering a rule to put even more authority in the broken asylum system.

    If the Supreme Court does indeed issue a majority opinion along the lines of the leaked draft authored by Justice Alito, the shift in the tectonic plates of abortion rights will be as significant as any opinion the Court has ever issued

    The Supreme Court has voted to strike down Roe v. Wade, according to an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito and obtained by POLITICO. “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Alito writes.

    The Legislature had a chance to end some of the abuses described in the investigation by passing LD 1479 and chose not to. We hope future legislatures will not make this same mistake.
