Tip 1: Physical letters carry the most punch. Making contact is the most important thing, regardless of method. But if you can, write a physical letter. They're reported as having the most impact & as implying an increased understanding/care about an issue.

Tip 2: Stick to a single page and a single issue. We get it, there are a lot of issues you care about. But your letter will be more effective if you focus on one topic. Keep things concise and highlight only your strongest points.

Tip 3: Identify yourself & make a connection. Constituents voices > non-constituents voices. Establish early on who you are & what connection you have with the representative. Did you vote for them? Appreciate their past work? Let them know.
