While we celebrate some historic wins for civil liberties, we must not forget that the issues we work on go far beyond a single administration or party or election.
Voter suppression, racism, misogyny and xenophobic attacks all have long histories in this nation.
So no matter who is in power, we will keep rolling up our sleeves and going to work to hold our govt accountable and extend the promise of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to all people in Maine and the nation.
