.@SenAngusKing: We shouldn't make citizens choose between their health and safety and their right to vote. The federal govt can provide the funds to support changes to election systems, but it will be up to the states to put systems in place that are safe and widely available.

@SenAngusKing: Voting-by-mail doesn't favor one party or candidate. Election reform is a non-partisan issue & making these changes will take bipartisan support. Call your U.S. senators/reps & tell them to fund changes to make sure everyone can safely vote during the pandemic.Show this thread -

Big thank you to Kathy Montejo, Lewiston City Clerk, who joined on behalf of municipal clerks around the state. Clerk Montejo: "Our biggest concern is the ability to adequately staff the polls on election day. That is where we need the most support."

Clerk Montejo: There is a need for both mail-in voting and in-person voting. We encourage everyone who is able to register and vote by mail. But some people aren't able to vote by mail and will need in-person access.
