The city of Dickinson, Texas is requiring people applying for Hurricane Harvey aid to promise not to boycott Israel. This is unconstitutional.

What is the source of this information? I live in Dickinson and was not required to do this when applying for aid.

Yeah man. What a strange thing to put in a federal contract. So many things coming to light recently that should get everyone's attention.
There's a HB that prohibits state agencies from contracting with and investing in certain public funds into companies that boycott Israel.
It's a state law. If Dickinson is getting their funds. from the state they have to comply. If it's fed funds ACLU is right.

They are being asked to obey state law. I don't know if it's legal or not. Or if it's police-able. I was responding why it's there.
