Pronouns can be as diverse as genders. Here are some examples of commonly-used pronouns: ▪️she/her/hers ▪️ze/zem/zeir ▪️he/him/his ▪️they/them/theirs ▪️and many more Avoid assuming someone’s pronouns based off of your perception of their gender.

We may use different pronouns with different people (like how we may go by different names or nicknames in different situations).

Our pronoun use can change over time, because we all grow and how we understand ourselves can grow too.

It’s important that we normalize opportunities to share our pronouns. It can be as simple as saying your name and following it up with: “I use ______ pronouns.”

It’s also important to accept that not everyone will be comfortable sharing their pronouns and that’s okay too! No one should be forced to share their pronouns.

Asking about others’ pronouns if we are unsure is a respectful thing to do.pic.twitter.com/O7HkCLn7pj

The singular they is a widely accepted and respectful way to refer to someone before you learn their pronouns.

I'm all for gender diversity, but free speech used to be an ACLU calling card. This is authoritarian not civil libertarian.
