This lawsuit is clearly about trans students, yet those students have no voice in the lawsuit. This is wrong. We at the ACLU will be seeking to intervene in this lawsuit as a new party, to give trans students a voice.

Trans youth know who they are. Andraya just wants to run, yet she is under attack. Andraya knows where she belongs: Running on the girls team.pic.twitter.com/o2cGwQII2m

"I have known two things for most of my life: I am a girl and I love to run. There is no shortage of discrimination that I face as a Black woman who is transgender." - Andraya Yearwood, High School Athlete

Trans people belong in sports.

We have a message to lawmakers and others attacking trans students like Terry: STOP ATTACKING TRANS YOUTH.pic.twitter.com/9PXxCTADpl

"There is a long history of excluding Black girls from sport and policing our bodies. I am a runner and I will keep running and keep fighting for my existence, my community and my rights." - Terry Miller, High School Athlete

Trans people belong in sports.

These attacks aren't new. Sports have often been used a battleground for gender justice. The arguments used to keep trans women out of sports echo those used against cis women.https://www.aclu.org/blog/lgbt-rights/transgender-rights/banning-trans-girls-school-sports-neither-feminist-nor-legal?initms_aff=nat&initms_chan=soc&utm_medium=soc&initms=200212_tw&utm_source=tw&utm_campaign=&utm_content=200212_lgbtq&ms_aff=nat&ms_chan=soc&ms=200212_tw …

While this attack is happening in court, 15 states have bills attacking trans student athletes. Three of those states — Alabama, Arizona and Colorado — have a committee hearing tomorrow.https://www.aclu.org/legislation-affecting-lgbt-rights-across-country?initms_aff=nat&initms_chan=soc&utm_medium=soc&initms=200212_tw&utm_source=tw&utm_campaign=&utm_content=200212_lgbtq&ms_aff=nat&ms_chan=soc&ms=200212_tw …

Those attacking trans youth — through lawsuits like this or through attacks in state legislatures: You need to know that we will not back down. And you will need to come through ALL OF US. http://aclu.org/transathletes

Biologically male students should not be competing in women's sports. Most trans students agree with that, as well.

Nope, but keep making up stats so you feel better about discrimination.

😂😂😂 This is so crazy to me. I still can't wrap my mind around the cognitive dissonance behind thinking that it's okay for boys to compete as girls in sports geared towards specific genders. So crazy-crazy.

Have you considered that South Park is not a good source for any argument that you want to hold water? Sure, Kenny stopped dying every episode, but that doesn't mean the show's more realistic now.
