This is not an isolated incident. Since 2010, more than 100 people have died after an encounter with CBP. The most recent was a Congolese woman who died on December 25 of last year. We are still waiting for an investigation.

14 people — including 4 children — have died in Border Patrol custody since Trump took office. This problem is systemic and unacceptable. We demand transparency, accountability, and respect for dignity and human life.

Remember also that ICE has detained and even attempted to deport at least 1500 legal residents and even citizens, starting in the Obama Administration. Now CBP is getting in on it.
