Was use of the Ring devices as a surveillance network mentioned somewhere in the EULA, or just not mentioned at all?

Thankfully, owning a Ring device is not (yet) mandatory. Anyone who is concerned with privacy would already have avoided buying one. OTOH: how do we protect ourselves from people who buy them because they’re not paying attention or just don’t care?
