This response is a shocking concession that the government can’t easily find thousands of children it ripped from parents, and doesn’t even think it’s worth the time to locate each of them. We will be back in court on February 21.

I have a friend who offered up her tech company to coalesce data months ago to reunite kids. The government declined. This was willful.

They know damn well what happened to those kids. It's not a good sign at all.

The incompetence defense. One thing the government does well is bureaucracy...number stuff...tracking stuff etc. That is unless someone intentionally sabotages the system or lies.

If this were a competent bureaucracy there would be records even if they were evil. The Nazis kept immaculate records which aided their prosecution at Nuremberg. This was purposeful so that their crimes couldn't be undone nor the records be used as evidence.
