Not true. Reporters are guests of the WH. You can ask tough questions but do so in a matter befitting the responsibility of said task. #Acosta failed that task when he chopped down on the arm of a female intern. A #freepress does not have to be a rude/abusive one. #wecandobetter

Did you see some Fox News-altered video of the event instead of the real thing? Acosta was attacked by the aide. He never lays a hand on her and tries to protect the mic from being rudely snatched away. White House staffers shouldn’t be putting their hands on reporters
-
I’m want you to be honest... how many times he should be asked to give the mic, or better, How many questions he should be allowed (he asked 3 before the altercation)?
-
How many times did Trump Dodge his question?
-
His last question... he changed the question to Russia after/middle of the altercation ?... but I assume now you are doing the same that Trump did, not answering my question....

-
I'm just saying Trump gets angry fast and can't answer a question.

-
The 4th question... that I think he is allowed to do, I won’t say trump was right, but common there are people in the room and Acosta already asked three times, if I requested to stop at that point ok, but what he did was drama...
-
It's a vicious cycle. Trump refuses to answer a question, forcing reporters to keep asking and asking more aggressively, resulting in Trump reacting even more erratically. Today it boiled over. For what it's worth, I saw an aide breach Acosta's personal space, not the other way.

I don't see Jim Acosta as aggressive but defensive. The video was slowed down. She touched him, he placed his arm up to block her arm as SHE invaded his space trying to RIP a mic from his hands.
-
That’s what I saw too.
-
She only touched him after he moved the mic out of the way of her hand, then he pushed her arm down with his.
-
Gerkin, I’m thinking she should not have laid her hands on him at all. Do you welcome unwarranted touch by a stranger? I’m wondering what we call such touching. I saw the original video before it was sped up & slowed down. You should google the original. Really.
-
Lawyer here. It’s called a battery. Unwanted touching is battery. As the intern is invading his space with the purpose of touching him to remove the mic, the best argument one can make against Acosta is that he used his hands to prevent someone from committing a battery on him.
-
I should be clear, battery requires harm and I don’t think Acosta would say he was harmed. But the intern certainly wasn’t either. Neither individuals actions would seem to be assault.
-
It's a non issue. I would say Trump should be ashamed of himself but feeling shame requires a conscience.
-
I agree that it is, in reality, a non issue. I only acknowledge it because the White House is hiding behind the incident as an excuse to bar a reporter. But I’m sure we are on the same page.

Their job is to ask questions, not accuse. If Acosta or any reporter had even come close to acting like that with oBama they would not only have been barred from the WH but lost their cushy fraudulent job. GOOD RIDDANCE ACOSTA!!!
-
Funny thing is it would not have come to that under Obama because that president was respectful and full of class.
-
I heard no accusations but fact checking upon a false answer as journalist are to do and then ask a follow up question as often reporters are allowed in press conferences and or briefings. DJT came out aggressively and escalated it and then has the WH issue a false statement.

Jim Acosta was assertive in this situation, not "aggressive." If that would be the case, it would be the politest "aggressive" I've seen in my life so far!
-
Thank you! Trump was obviously unprepared & high on his base’s unquestioned adoration of every word that drips from his mouth. He cannot handle being questioned. Everyone, including the press, is expected to bow down before him. The arrogance is appalling!
