Ridiculous
-
Most states allow them to vote, even in deep red states. That’s the norm.
-
Criminals can’t own a gun, they shouldn’t be able to vote either
-
What do you have against people who have already served their time being allowed to vote? What legal reasoning do you have? By the way, you should avoid “whataboutisms” as they aren’t actual defenses.
-
Simple, as I’ve stated. One loses their right under the second amendment to own a firearm even after they served their time. They should t be allowed to vote either. Criminals voluntarily relinquish their rights by choosing to commit a crime
-
Prisoners lose freedoms, not rights. Even then, they eventually get those freedoms back after time served.
-
Basically, you’re advocating post-prison punishment, and you still keep using a separate issue (one with certain complications) to justify your position on this issue (which doesn’t have the same complications).
-
Both are constitutional rights. Criminals relinquish certain rights by breaking laws. Voting should be one of them like it is owning a firearm

Rise of the Libertarians! I'm sure they're pretty pissed at the 2 parties that had a hand in revoking their voting access!

So, wonder how the Republicans will try to screw them out of their votes on future elections?
