More than 6 months after the Starbucks incident, the Philadelphia Police Commissioner seems to have learned shockingly little from the arrest of 2 Black patrons who were peacefully waiting on a friend to arrive.http://www2.philly.com/philly/opinion/commentary/philadelphia-police-advisory-commission-starbuck-richard-ross-20181105.html …

Is it only loitering when it’s black people and “hanging out” when it’s not?

No, it's loitering in both cases, trespassing after you've been asked to leave I've seen white people be asked to leave establishments. It's rare for white people to argue and refuse to leave

It's not rare for a white person to refuse to leave. It's rare for a white person to refuse to leave when it's a white owner asking them to. Its loitering when you're not privileged enough to be able to hangout at the store designed for you to hangout at.

Definition of Loitering or Loitering laws have nothing to do w race.

No but their enforcement has everything to do with race.

That is not a truism though we are not a perfect society & it may occur

It is a truism. The enforcement and punishment of laws is based more on race and privilege than on the actual legal requirements. It does occur, not many occur. Tis easy to say we're not perfect, tis harder to face those imperfections and fix them.

Two non-customers who refused to leave when asked by someone who had the authority to do so, and who could have rectified the situation by simply buying a cup of coffee out of respect for the establishment's purpose.

Now you wait just a minute. Stop it with that logic. Also, security cameras all over the place. Super progressive barista. But you know, nothing happened before the phone started recording.

This is retarded. White identitarians assemble peacefully and start no fights Antifa thinks they can decide who has the right to peacefully assemble and exercise free speech, so they rationalize the intiation of political violence Police respond accordingly, to their actions

Philadelphia would rather the ACLU remained focused on Chicago. Philly will give you a call after you undo the mess you made in Chicago. Or did the ACLU forget that they contributed to Chicago’s murder rate. I guess the ACLU has washed its hands of Chicago. Screw it up and leave.
