One more #VoterSuppression tactic against #disabled, many of whom can't sign our names.
My signature differs depending on the time of day and/or how much my hands are shaking.
1 in 5 Americans has a #disability according to the @CDCgov.
Stop disenfranchising us.

These "rules" are not meant to catch voting fraud but to make it harder for people to vote. They are being enforced arbitrarily against people of color and Democrats. Is this who we are today?

Voter suppression must be taken as seriously as voter fraud. Those that are caught suppressing democracy should be criminally prosecuted.

Thank you. We had to go in the clerks office to re-register my husband last month in Oregon. The clerk said he was dumped because his signature didn't match. He never changes his signature, ever. It looks exactly the same everytime.

They probably thought he voted Rep.

? He is a registered Dem and has been for over 20 years.

I almost got ensnared in this in Illinois ion 2016. Signed the doc and the signature didn't match. Had to show my ID and then sign again (2nd time I slowed down & used my more "formal" signature. Poll workers were very nice, but then again I'm white

Election officer w/o training in handwriting analysis here...I swear an oath to prevent any fraud, deceit or abuse in carrying on the election process, and at same time, I'd be devastated to know that I'd unjustly disenfranchised someone based on an old signature

People's signatures change for a multitude of reasons. Mine changed slightly because of an injury to my hand in June and it hasn't recovered yet. Mine also changes with trying to sign E-docs. That stylus is not accommodating when writing with it.

Every time I sign my name it's a bit different. And just from when I was 18 until now, a little over a decade, I've made big changes because the way I signed at 18 was extremely sloppy and horrible. People's signatures change.

Just have them spit on the ballot and we can test the DNA.
