ADHDers respond to RSD in different ways.
I avoided situations/ people. Can't feel rejected if you never do anything.
Others become people pleasers. Avoid feeling rejection by avoiding all conflict.
Others respond with anger. Avoid feeling rejection by doing the rejecting.

Ofcourse, we dont really stick to just one.
All these responses are our brains trying to protect itself afterall.
Emotional dysregulation means we struggle to process these emotions so it aims to avoid feeling bad in the first place.
Fear of RSD can be worse than RSD itself.

I am 2 and 3 combined. I am not friendly enough to be people-pleasing. I have an angry personality .dont think it's linked to ADHD. I am also smart enough to come out as all rejecting. Hope I make sense .

Anger is a huge HUGE issue for ADHDers, especially men.
Emotional dysregulation, afterall.
Mix that with impulsivity and you get angry outbursts with no fuse.

There's probably a big subtype of Awkward People Pleasers, because it's also so hard to figure out what people want, and that makes you feel like you're doing it all wrong and you try to people please your way out of that, but that makes it even worse.

Mainly 2, but sometimes it all becomes too much, then 3 and 1 manifest. RSD sucks!!!
