    Outside of this region Tasmania's western ranges and coast are the wettest location in the country. Mt Reid wettest year is 4587mm and driest about 3200mm. Dorrigo in NSW wettest year is 2649mm. We have some very wet locations in this country.

    South Johnstone recorded 1083.8mm in April 1982. Its highest monthly rainfall was 2748mm in Jan 1981. The ranges between Townsville and Cairns are the wettest location in the country
