Have urban Coyotes helped this problem??? My 3 kitties are not allowed outside because we have coyotes everywhere (we live a mile south of downtown)

Coyotes definitely do take cats!

A huge problem is people that refuse to spay/neuter their cats. There would be so many less feral cats that suffer outdoor life if we’d take better responsibility. I also agree that. I pets belong outside unattended. FYI, I have a policy, if you walk in my yard, I neuter you.

If cats attacked humans it would have been done a long time ago. All other species are expendable :-(

We always keep ours inside. I have an extra long leash if I ever take one out.

Dogs're easier to control so animal control turns a blind eye. Code in this small town (8000) requires no pets be allowed to run at large, yet ignores cats making neighbors' lives miserable ie baby nearly eating dry feces, feces in sandals etc. Not anti-cat. Been owned by a few.

100 percent agree.

Realistically it's because a free running dog is more likely to be able to maul someone than a cat.
