The FBI calls it a new twist on an extortion scam: con artists hoping that men who may be cheating on their wives get this letter, get worried, and pay up. The letters are being sent to homes in affluent neighborhoods all over the country, including Northern Virginia & DC.

It’s very simple: they can make up any evidence that they want and can make you look Amy way they want. They can make up text messages to look like it’s from you and from anyone fictional that they make up sent to you. Even if it’s true it doesn’t matter, it’s now a known scam.

Wouldn’t anyone think of answering this letter “ no problem, I will happily pay you. Just send me a copy of your evidence first.” I have a feeling there is nothing, they just send the letter out grasping at straws hoping for takers! Just like “U” owe the IRS! & you have a virus!
