THIS JUST IN: LAX to end curbside pick-up by rideshare companies, such as Uber and Lyft. Passengers will need to catch a shuttle ride to a designated lot beginning Oct. 29th. More to follow...

there’s no scenario worse than the current situation of waiting an hour+ for an uber to make it to your gate on the wrong night. on one of my last trips I just WALKED from LAX to a hotel nearby because the wait was so long so might as well catch a shuttle instead

Unpopular opinion(?): This is good. Curbside rideshare pickup at LAX is a disaster.

Why not fix the issue by letting rideshare services pick up their customers wherever they are, rather than packing them into “zones” that get congested?
