I agree with him!!

May I ask you why?
-
Sure,my Grandparents came from Poland and they had to learn to speak English. When in America please speak the language.
-
My great grandparents came from Italy. They learned to speak English but I guarantee you that if they ran into someone at a store that spoke Italian, they spoke in their native tongue.
-
Or if I am a spanish speaking tourist and need someone that speaks spanish to help??

What was said in spanish? And were the customers perhaps turist and the staff just being polite and having fun taking spanish? If you know the native tounge of your customers, isn’t it ok to greet them in it? Or take drinks order or whatever ?
-
According to the manager it was a staff member and her friend, the employee wasn't speaking Spanish to a customer. And this isn't this guy's first racist tirade.
-
Thanks for the tip (- watched the video without sound) I can’t imagine getting this worked up about a conversation, he must have serious issues going on ..
-
I don't get it either. It's a private convo, it's not a big deal.
-
It's just WEIRD. I live in Oklahoma - not exactly the cultural center of the universe - and I listen to my fellow school employees have conversations entirely in Spanish EVERY SINGLE DAY. I guess I was supposed to freak about about it. I'm wondering if it was 'roid rage.
-
And tbh, I LOVE listening to other languages. I don't understand them, but I love listening to them. I feel like it makes our cities and communities a little bit richer.
-
It's also a great way to start understanding Linguistics and how different languages were created. The really stupid thing about all of it is that the English we speak today is not the English that was spoken in England centuries ago so who are we to judge?
-
I know, right?!?! Learning Spanish has improved my spelling SO MUCH. "No gusta" = "I don't like it." makes it easy to remember that weird "g" in "Disgusting."

Weird! Why would Americans want people in a business serving them to speak English? It's almost like this is our home country and we expect people to assimilate properly. Crazy!

It was a worker speaking Spanish to a regular customer who also speaks Spanish. No one spoke Spanish to this special snowflake.
-
This type of thing happens all over the country, especially in major liberal cities. A few years back I was around Los Angeles at a Subway, and had to point at everything I wanted on the sandwich because the workers didn't know any English.
-
I call total b.s. on that story. Nice try though.

100% true.
