This is just insane.

And, the headline is insufficient. The university official only pushed and rushed black students.pic.twitter.com/0TzoXeEMNo

What happened to decorum? Sigh. Stroll? My graduation was hustle there were hundreds more behind me.
-
Decorum? Seriously way to shame something that here is clearly a black tradition. Grad takes 5688 hours on boring speeches most ppl don’t care about and listening to other ppls accomplishments you can’t have 10 seconds of joy in your accomplishment after years of hard work & $$$?
-
That's a good point.

The person doing the manhandling is unknown? Why do we protect the anonymity of these people? From Rosa Parks refusing to give her seat to a “white person” (he was actually a man his name, unknown) to police & the anonymous callers to 911 that get people killed today.
-
What is the deterrent to stop what appears to be malicious and concerted over decades? I’d suggest anonymity is the least effective deterrent.

I would have yanked them off. They can dance later. It's not just their graduation and some graduates probably would like some dignity to their ceremony
-
How was that not dignified?

y’all kill me with “responsibility politics for every damn thing
they deserve a chance to have their moment on stage. -
I'm not at all surprised, I mean it's Wypipo; anything that's different from their culture is considered childish or un-called for. You should see the look I get when I am in an area where it's all predominantly white. They stare as if I don't belong there.
-
One thing I had to learn is that the most feared person is an educated black man or woman who loves their culture, and embraces it with dignity.

Jesus. Watch the video. Kids are having the greatest moment of their lives and this dude is manhandling them. And of course, race is a factor.

Why is the president of the university apologizing now? He was on stage when it happened! He allowed it! He set up an environment at the university that made this staff member feel comfortable to put his hands on black students celebrating their accomplishments!

Apologizing for being aggressive towards "some students." Um....he should have said, "Black students." Without that, this is not an apology anyway.

Being proud showing happiness is not allowed at graduation ceremonies now. How horrible of a human do you have to be to take away this feeling of joy and achievement from a graduate.
