Have there been assassination threats directed at Pence? That would explain this controversial ban.

The secret service has jurisdiction and they ALWAYS ban guns when he Pres or VP are at an event
-
Wasn't the Secret Service present that day in Dallas when JFK was shot to death? Weren't they with Pres. Reagan when he was shot? The Secret Service isn't going to stop an armed assassin unless they see him in time. Remember how far away that Vegas shooter was from the crowds?
-
They were both outside in public. They can only minimize risk. Lee Harvey Oswald shot from atop a building. They didn’t have Bruce Wayne’s toys to monitor the whole city.
-
Hence, the ban. The Secret Service is just doing their job--to protect the VP. THe NRA was asked by the SS to ban guns. It will also keep the SS agents from being shot while trying to protect Pence, too. Maybe these agents want to keep living?
-
The NRA had nothing to do with it. At all. Not one iota.

I really do not want to know what the parkland students say.
-
Its mostly just boring stuff like "please stop shooting me!" and " all my friends are dead!"

It is hypocrisy
-
It's not. It's the law - which is why they're following it.
-
The government makes laws this is a policy by the individual event

More guns = more firearms fatalities and injuries Less guns = less firearms fatalities and injuries. Just about every country in the world figured it out. Its not complicated math so even if you only made it to 4th grade you should be able to understand it.

Move of its that big of a issue. Land of the free.

They literally don't know what they're talking about. The Secret Service has jurisdiction over the event/venue while the Vice President is there. They do not allow firearms there while the VP is there. I see no problem. They need to get over themselves.
-
Because more guns = more safety, right?

It’s a secret service ban, not an NRA ban.

I never thought it would happen, but I am sick and tired of these Parkland kids. I want the Second Amendment Repealed, but I've heard more than enough from these emotional, condescending, alarmist, and attention-seeking brats. Just being honest.
-
Maybe if these same Parkland students had been less cruel to FCruz, he wouldn't have shot up the place. Being decent to your fellow schoolmates gets the job done as well as more gun-control laws. I hope they've learned to not bully the weirdoes among them. Now.
-
Kids these days don't realize it, but the anti-bullying campaign wasn't always part of American culture. Not at all. It all started with Columbine--the aftermath, the self-examination, the need to prevent more school shootings. Those 2 shooters were bullied by kids at Columbine.
-
Insofar as teens can be marginally kind to each other in school, kids can control whether or not an abused, vengeful, mentally unwell (due to abuse) classmate returns to school one day to kill as many of them as possible. Gun or knife or bomb etc. Stop the bullying, children.
