Since when is it racism to require visitors to be customers instead of loiterers? Is it also racist to deny bathroom use to non paying customers?

I think these protesters are making this out 2 be worst than it was. Blacks have not been the only ones asked to leave Starbucks when not ordering anything to drink or eat. Starbucks does not discriminate. They asked a white man to leave a few years ago do to not ordering.

I’m kind of thinking that a day long seminar won’t cure racism

Forgive me if Im wrong but didn't the guys bring water into starbucks and didn't plan on ordering anything? So why were they there? So why is it a racial matter when they were told to leave? Is it because they are black? Seems like loitering to me. Jus sayn...

You've tweeted this three times in 24 hours, but nothing about the 2 policemen assassinated in Florida while eating lunch. Deplorable bias!

I paid 9 bucks for a cheeseburger at McD's in Chinatown because I was told only patrons can use the restroom.
-
No I just decided to make that up for your benefit

Since you cannot “train” away racial bias. It’s an exercise in futility. You can merely set rules that prohibit discrimination and hope your staff is wise enough to follow them.

Starbucks did nothing wrong. They refused to comply to the company policy of buying a drink or leave and so were asked to leave. They refused. The police were called. They then refused again to leave when asked by the police, so were correctly arrested. No racial bias here
-
Were the white people there not buying coffee asked to leave, ever on any day?
-
I would say yes. The commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department stated that these kind of calls happen all the time but usually people leave before the police turn up or as they turn up. On this occasion, the men even goaded the police. Everything was done by the book.

It doesn’t take more than a day to tell your employees not to discriminate or you’re fired. Starbucks apologized and took steps to rectify this. Asking for more doesn’t make sense since Starbucks can’t mind control employees.
