.@realDonaldTrump, Your comment about the guard not loving the children and the teachers loving the children was not your finest moment, that I can tell you.

Trump just approved the security guards death warrant! He has no business saying what he said about someone he doesn't know anything about.

Can you imagine having as many “fine moments” as trump has had over the past year, and you still have the audacity to call out another person for not performing?

Exactly! He didnt know if there were multiple gun men or what he was up against! He followed his training & was smart to wait for back up (which was a HELL of a lot quicker than other school shootings)! Easy for people to judge a situation they've never faced!

So we have a highly trained decorated officer who froze in the middle of chaos. Now you want to put TEACHERS in this same type of situation and expect this to somehow have a better outcome. Your a fool for even considering such madness. There can be no upside to this.

He led the kids to safety. He accessed the situation and knew a handgun was no match against a Weapon Of War. He called in for swat team help fitted with body armour. If the officer went in he would have become victim 18 without saving children. He is a hero not a scapegoat!

That guard was terrified! Fuck, would you go confront a madman with an AR 15 while you are only carrying a pistol? No!!pic.twitter.com/Nx5zA9ng8V
-
If that’s what I had to do, sure. The officer had training and knows that his chosen job will come with dangerous situations.
-
So what about the other 3 cops who arrived at the scene and didn’t go inside either while the shooter was still firing?
-
What do you mean? If I were them I would do what is expected of me. Protect the children and neutralize any threat to them.
-
Of course we expect the officers to act swiftly. You are right, they are trained for these situations. I guess they just lost their nerves and waited for the swat team to arrive. The decision they made will hunt them for the rest of their lives...

Cops are just one of those jobs where everyone has to be great. It’s like American Airlines hiring an ok pilot.
