People didn’t even know where the shots were coming from. What would you shoot at? The air?

Imagine if it was really extremely difficult to get a mass shooting style gun, since most of these are impulse based shootings seems like taking away the gun of choice would make it a little harder, you might want to look at the shooting in Walmart, CC slowed down investigation

Awesome story. Our team of army veterans turned engineers are developing a bullet proof curtain system to help keep schools safer. Works similar to what these brave kids rigged up in a pinch. http://ballisticcordonsystems.com

@realDonaldTrump ... maybe the NRA would supply these to schools? - End of conversation

My husband's post from earlier today. And it's still getting likes. He even had a few vet say they'd VOLUNTEER... yes... do it for free.pic.twitter.com/HpTCz7s1Oq

Why doesn't anyone ask how we got to this place? Not what bandaids are available.
-
Armed veterans in schools. No. Community police in the community school would make more sense. Atleast they can relate to the kids there. Veterans duty should be more than protecting a school from what COULD happen. The metal detectors sound like a ideal solution though.
-
Police are assholes. They might start off in patrol, but then they'd also be spending time busting kids for stupid things like cigarettes and pot. Vets need something to do when they come back. I think it would be helpful to them to have meaning in the community.
-
Guess we just got lucky with having a respectable police on duty at our school in recent years. I see your points.

I'm not saying your completely wrong... but I'm thinking that hiring a vet for a regular that that's actually needed, maintenance, custodial, maybe even coach/gym teacher, might be a good idea. That way were not paying extra tax and the school doesn't have to use their budget.
-
Sorry I didn't mean "you're not completely wrong" as "you're mostly wrong and I'm right". I just meant more in my opinion something needs to be done. Without punishing everyone and discriminating against someone for their views.

I'm apart of the JROTC program at my high school and I'm just so proud at the fact that these cadets have demonstrated what it means to be part of this program
