The USDA also has no proposal for homeless, address less, displaced, shut in, and immobile recipients who won't be able to collect a box of food. This is class warfare. For real!

I am willing to support those in need, but boxed food is a terrible idea! The last thing people need is food induced health problems! There should be vouchers for vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, protiens and baby food. Local farmers should be part of the equation.
-
The snap program here in FL actually works at the local farmers market, supports local businesses, people get high quality food, win for everyone
-
100% agree with that model!

Who's to say there won't be a menu of sorts. Everyone is freaking out and haven't even heard the proposal. If done right it could be a decent program. I, for one, am curious.

I think its the idea that were gonna just throw some boxed carbs at people in need. If I'm paying I reaaly want to see zero processed foods. If people want that they can buy it themselves.

Agreed.

Nothing wrong with this program. I'm tired of EBT cards being used for soda/chips. At least the poor will be healthy food. Stop fraud & abuse now!
-
That's all well and good, but haven't the ppor suffered enough just to eat tasteless food?

Welfare was supposed to be a hand up not a way of life

We get $300 in food stamps a month and it doesn't even last a full month for 4 people. Honestly think the delivery service would just be more awful because you'll get less food than before.. That's how i see it anyways

Stop calling it “blue apron like” it’s not. It’s what the gop is using to make it appealing... like “death tax” and “chain migration” how about calling it government meals.

Omfg the rich get trillions in tax cuts and the poor get..rice and beans

Beggars cannot be choosers. Like I tell my kids, ya get what ya get and you don't throw a fit. Plenty of times I've voluntarily eaten rice and beans to make ends meet and I had to buy them myself.
