Frustrated? Kelly is the Chief of Staff. And has been for months. It smells of deep laziness and blame shifting for him to act as if somehow this is beyond his control.

He doesn’t have to accept keeping those people on w/out permanent security clearances. That’s his decision as Chief of Staff, not to mention responsibility.

Remember during the campaign when a server in someone’s basement was such a big deal. Those on temporary security clearance should not be anywhere near classified info..give them something else to do or get rid of them!

Has it occurred to anyone that Kelly's treatment of this allegation of abuse is ENTIRELY consistent with the way the military has handled similar allegations of abuse---by ignoring and covering it up?

Why should known, habitual liars get security clearances?

They can't properly vet the WH staff yet we're to believe and trust they can adequately run Homeland security and it's vetting system? This administration is pathetic.

Damn you idiots at
@ABC I'm a retired Government employee; interim clearance security clearance investigations usually took 3 months unless the position was badly needed, and then it was granted faster. -
The investigation for the full clearance took anywhere between 3 months to a year depending on the type of clearance!
-
Now you
@ABC idiots that all changed with Edward Snowden; an interim security clearance was avoided unless the position was badly needed, and the full clearance took anywhere from a year to 3 years!

Maybe trump stopped hiring “the best” people who turn out to be incompetent, racists, criminals, and serial wife beaters, and Kelly didn’t cover for them, then maybe their staffers could qualify for permanent security clearances

the mindset is probably one of "why go through the trouble of giving them permanent security clearances when most of them are going to be in prison soon?"

Perhaps you should acquire a higher caliber of “aides”. Ones who don’t lie, beat their loved ones, forget their Russian banking contacts, use their White House connections for personal financial gain...

Well that pretty much leaves that house empty!!

While we’re at it, how did someone with multiple sexual assault accusations and pending lawsuits get a security clearance or does he even have HAVE one?

But he’s not the least bit concerned as to WHY they don’t yet have their clearances. Like, say spousal abuse.
