Upon further reading, Sue is being dismantled and reassembled in a new room in 2019, so we haven't seen the last of her after all!

They don’t publicize it but normally the dinosaur skeletons in museums are plaster casts of the actual fossils, painted to look authentic. The actual rocks are too heavy to mount that way.
