Has any media mentioned that coal mines have continued to close since he took office. Also, there is no such think as clean coal.

I know of 3 mines in Alabama that came back on line.
-
Some are opening, some are closing. The biggest reason most have closed is American natural gas. So, this isn’t the boon to American energy he pretends:https://www.npr.org/2017/06/02/531255253/fact-check-is-president-trump-correct-that-coal-mines-are-opening …

I'd like to see a plan that gives incentives for new energy industry, solar, wind, whatever, to build where mines and other manufacturing industries have died or close, plus cash for retraining workers. Instead, the tariff on solar is going to hurt that industry, too.
-
Exactly. What we could do for people in coal country is provide them with training for new jobs and industry instead of wasting money trying to bring back a dying industry that a lot of people in coal country don’t want back
-
That is the knowledge i keep stating. We see it, why dont they or he?
-
Unfortunately I think that the people in rural America that are largely ignorant of these issues are the ones who have been shouting the loudest. As a result, they are the ones that have been heard the most and they are getting (at least partially) what they want
-
Part of the problem is that life is more complex than slogans, that being uneducated or under-educated is a problem and our system feeds on the latter while ignoring the complexity of American society.

A moment of silence for all those who died in the war on energy. No? IT’S AN IMAGINARY WAR? But that would mean
@realDonaldTrump is lying again. -
But people HAVE died. More mining-related deaths (14 since 2017) have occurred than in recent years (about 3 deaths per year, average), due to the president’s repeal of federal mining regulations.
-
Not fighting to keep mines open. They died doing their mining job.
-
Exactly my point. Safety regulations which the administration considered federal overreach were repealed, resulting in safety-related deaths of miners. More than any other year since the mid-2000s at least.

Facts obviously do not matter to this fool. Clean coal dies not exist & is far from beautiful. Coal is the dirtiest form of energy production. It causes mercury poisoning, water pollution, asthma and is the worst form of carbon pollution. Wind and solar create far more jobs.
