Why is her husband’s win reported as “even more amazing news”?

Agree, so does it means that her hard work is nothing compares to her husband?
-
The tenor of the headline really bothered me. I’m tired of the preferential treatment men’s sports receives.
-
It happens everywhere, in my country, the men's soccer team got paid 20 times more than the women, but the women won 3 times more medals, and all the media does is praise the men's team to the moon when they scored a goal

While I agree with you about overall tones regarding male/female achievements. His is the SB (Highest possible success in the sport) while hers was not the world cup. Essentially one game inherently "matters more" to the season than the other, regardless of gender.

Because she received some amazing news with her win then received even more amazing news with her husbands win.

Also, a U.S. WNT win is expected, the Eagles on the other hand are not usually that good.

WTF ABC, The article is about football not soccer. Then you add this video clip making it sound that Julie Ertz's soccer team, win is less than her husband going to the super bowl.
