This is getting out of hand. What do you mean “pressured”? If you didnt want to have sex, you would have said “no”. women should take responsibility for communicating their lack of consent.

Men should take responsibility for getting their consent. Lack of consent is not consent.
-
What does it mean she was pressured? If i go on a date I say “no” to sex. No one pressures me into sex. Im not some fragile mute woman who cant communicate how i feel about sleeping w someone. It sounds like she regretted it the next day, which is her problem.
-
She tried to communicate her boundaries and he continued to disregard them. It was on HIM to ask "are you okay with this?" or "do you want me to stop". If he had and listened to the response, this wouldn't be an issue. And then she left and still people blame her for this.
-
No, it was on her to say stop. If a woman can’t speak up for herself in that type of situation, she shouldn’t be dating. And she left- and expressed her regrets to him the next day, and ... he apologized and everybody moved on. Until she dragged it up again for attention.

This has basically turned into, let me accuse someone I don’t like so they will lose their job. Since a lot of these cases are fire first ask questions later. It’s funny how after these people lose a job it goes oddly silent!!

Pressuring? This seems very far fetched. Someone define sexual harassment. The government states it is implied sexual favors by a threat. Could flirting be sexual harassment? Up to sexual assault or rape what constitutes sexual harassment?

See now there's the damn problem, if you aren't interested in someone making advances, tell that person the truth jesus, if you dont say anything and just go along with it then by all accounts that is consensual sexual relations.
-
If you don't give consent, then you haven't consented. Its on both parties to check in with each other and ensure that the other person is comfortable and feels safe. Just fucking ask.
-
She gave consent by going back to his apartment, and having sex with him without expressing a desire not to do so. Seems to me like she wanted to get laid, and now she wants money.
-
"without expressing a desire not to do so" That isn't consent. The lack of a "no" is not a "yes".

She should have went home after dinner. it was after all the first "date"
-
He should have asked her permission. She is after all a person.
-
I agree. However asked her permission? She didn't seem to protest until after he gave her oral. Just saying
-
Consent isn't something that's given and then is good for life, it doesn't even give you a free pass for the rest of the night. As soon as that person is no longer a willing participant that consent is revoked. Its on both parties to make sure they still have the other's consent
-
I didn't say that it was a free pass. All I said was she should have just went home. Why does it have to turn into a debate? You can't cry foul if both made a laps in judgement.
-
Being the victim of a sexual assault, having your boundaries crossed, or otherwise feeling violated by someone who claimed to have some level of consideration for you is not a lapse in judgement.
-
You just going to blame the guy? It takes two. Never in the story did it say she was uncomfortable until after he suggested, not forced upon, other sexual actions. My simple statement, women and men need to think more clearly. Relationships seem rushed now a days.
-
What happned to actually getting to know someone before going to their home alone?
