I'm lucky I live in a state where sexual orientation is a protected class in the workplace. It's disgusting this hasn't been applied on a federal level yet.

So sad that we have reached the peak of growth possible in America because of certain citizens who believe they have a right to still say how others live. Now we begin our downward spiral back in time.

Businesses have the right to refuse service. People have the right to spend their dollars, or not spend, where they choose. I would not shop at a place that refuses service to lgbt customers. Discrimination talks, so does money.

Wait. What??!! Time for usUS to roll up our sleeves for work in Mississippi, again. This is exactly what happens when supreme court justices don't mirror the People. An injustice carried out on one group -is an injustice that will soon be carried out on the next group. -Mepic.twitter.com/D1ufsxx2LQ

Figures. The GOP wants to make life miserable for LGBT people. Why stop there? If Pence gets the presidency, he might make it illegal to be gay.

An economic boycott will not work in Mississippi because they are already at the bottom in wealth. If Mississippi didn't have the gulf coast, it would be a wasteland of poverty worse than it is.

People, powered by social media, are much more likely to bring the change desired here. Nissan, Ashley Furniture, Tyson, Cooper Tires, Franklin Furniture, etc. can easily be pinched.

How could you know that they were LGBT?

If a gay couple walks into a county clerk's office to apply for a marriage license, it's pretty obvious. Perhaps the couple shouldn't be required to pay the taxes that pay the salary of the clerk if the clerk denies a license based on personal religious beliefs.
