And next you'll be telling us everyone has the right to win a gold medal at the Olympics. With anything competitive the right is earned not given. Utopias do not exist and this young man needs to continue to practice and perhaps one day he will be able to dance competitively.

I feel like you missed the point. It's not that he wasn't good enough to make the cut. You're making a false equivalency.

Your right, I didn't read the article until now. @ABC did not tweet enough detail to correctly convey the story. I jumped to a conclusion because of the way the tweet was presented. I was wrong.

Oh FFS @ABC, enough of this nonsense already. I remember when you used to report actual fvcking news. Now it’s; boy wants to compete against girls, he can’t, so now he’s oppressed. This shit is ridiculous and it’s getting really old

Well, not really. Doing everything we want to do is not a right. Life is hard. Most of us never get to do everything we’d like.

Because the high school league here ruled its not fair to the girls letting a boy in a girls only competition. Just like hockey and golf. Thats why.

In Minnesota dance is a girls varsity sport. Title 9 passed giving the girls the same amount of chances as boys. As a dad if a lady athlete im grateful and this mother is trying to undo all the good thats been done for girls sports

This is wrong. It's because if they let him dance then they have to let the boys compete in girls golf and softball and so on. Its to protect the girls sports.

But girls can participate in boys sports. I see your point. Then make a boys team/ competition then.
