Meanwhile, Trump is focused on prompting a book, tweeting about Mexico paying for the wall, and threatening to end NAFTA.

Honestly, he has already done everything he has the power to do at this time. And if we could stop politicising this it would be great!

If it was a sinkhole there would be no water flowing. It would disappear down the hole. That's just bad location for a road is what that is.
-
Or a maintenance issue. But not a true sink hole.

That's not a sinkhole. That's a roadway culvert collapse.

It's a pipe running too much water thru... Called erosion... Not sink hole. At least according to the picture
-
Thought the same thing: it does not appear to be a "sinkhole". Either culvert pipe ruptured, or water is eroding roadbed from other source.
-
Yep... You can see the pipe if you magnified the pic.
-
Yes. And by the amount of water running thru, there's likely a creek/stream undercutting it, as well. Regardless, a real tragedy there...
-
Yes... Always a tragedy... Hopefully People have learned from Katrina and heed the warnings
-
One could hope so. Unfortunately, I've heard reports that around 40% chose to remain behind, further complicating matters for 1st responders
