I can sum up most of the "pro life" movement's feelings about this: If it helps them personally, most of them will think their way into an exception why it's OK. They don't have any empathy, so they don't do this when it comes to rapes, non-viable late-term tragedies, etc...

Pragmatism over principal is always wrong. It’s what’s wrong with the world. One can never sacrifice their principals. Rubella and chicken pox vaccines both have fetal dna and my kid got neither.
