It’s kind of awesome for real estate investors. We’ve been waiting with cash for the urban bubble to deflate a bit. Sadly, more gentrification is on the way but perhaps there’s an opportunity for redevelopment done right.

Just watched a 300lb homeless guy who lives on my block take a giant dump 2 doors from my building. Couldn’t get a cops attention if I tried. But De Blasio is going to assign 3000 cops to make sure restaurants are social distancing. Turns out mayor is an important post.

NYC is a great place. It was in worse shape in the 1970’s, and came roaring back. There is a concerted propaganda campaign to convince voters that large cities are a hellscape - most are far from it - and that rural & suburbia are idyllic. NYC will be back post Covid..
