There is also a disconnect between affluent or at least comfortably-employed or otherwise taken care of folks, and people who were ready to go under if they missed one paycheck *before* the pandemic.

I bet none of the governors in our country have children going to public schools. They would never force their children to go to school. Why is it ok for our children and grandchildren to be used as beta tests ?

Here’s the disconnect: “Those in charge, making the decisions” are tested DAILY. Daily...As are all of their family members, and those working in their offices. The rest of us, who live in the real world, are waiting on line for hours to be tested...If we can get tested at all.
