How can there be a vaccine anytime soon if we can’t figure out how long antibodies last? There are so many people infected and more and more are continuing to have lasting effects after “recovery”.

. Right now, antibodies (if they appear at all) last 2 months, possibly 3. Vaccine trial ended just shy of 2 mos. so no measurement if vaccine actually provides immunity. Also: Vaccine based on spike protein of previous coronavirus strains, but new strains have mutated spike.

I would like to know what the implications are for a vaccine, if immunity diminishes over such a short period - and particularly, if the period varies widely across a population. I will keep looking.
